The Derbi GP1 250i Racing is the ultimate sports scooter, and has already become something of an icon and dream machine in Australia after just a year on the market. If you want to catch the eye at the lights as well as be the first away from them then this is the Sports scooter for you.
A rigid double beamed Alloy chassis frame means getting your leg over this scooter , somewhat similar to a motorbike. This coupled with 35mm upside down race forks , and twin adjustable rear shocks means this scooter handles superbly and whilst most at home on a twisty mountain road where it can show you its attributes, it is equally at home squeezing its very slight and agile body through the traffic on any given morning.
A front radial disc with 4 pot caliper , and a rear disc brake will give you the comfort of knowing that when you want to haul this scooter up in a hurry , that’s exactly what will happen. It helps that at a very lightweight 135kgs there is a lot less to stop than some other machines
Of course at the heart of the GP1 250i Racing is one of the scooter worlds most outstanding motors in the Piaggio Quaser 250cc with EFI. This is a very smooth yet powerful motor that was made for such a chassis and compliments it perfectly. It is one of the most economical in its class and with outstanding reliability.
