Boulevard 50cc - 2 stroke
One of the most notable new features in the Boulevard 2009 range will be the arrival of a 50cc air-cooled, two-stroke engine, which will be added to the four-stroke 125 version. Derbi introduced the first generation of the Boulevard in early 2002 and is introducing now its successor.
A new scooter with a totally overhauled image, more modern, attractive and technologically advanced, based on a Piaggio product platform – which at a glance already tells us of the promise of this model’s qualities.
The most obvious change has been made at the front, where the headlight, formerly integrated in the lower part of the fairing shield, has been raised to the handlebar and is located in front of the instrument panel.
The plastic bodywork, light units and passenger grips have all been restyled. The passenger footrests are now at the same height as the central platform – totally flat – while the seat is less inclined. In this way the passenger's and rider's positions are more balanced, thereby improving weight distribution and aerodynamic performance, especially when carrying two.
In its new incarnation, the Derbi Boulevard 50 2S will be available in a variety of color combinations. All the lower plastic, tires, rear swing arm and front suspension are black, giving this new motorcycle a contemporary and elegant look.
